SQUIGLE has 36% by weight of Xylitol; far more than any other toothpaste in the world; to profoundly inhibit the growth of plaque. Plaque is an irritant that triggers canker sores. The more Xylitol in your toothpaste, the less plaque buildup in your mouth. A leading canker sore toothpaste has 10% Xylitol. You'd think SQUIGLE would be more expensive, since Xylitol is very expensive; but it's not! SQUIGLE Toothpastes are consumer friendly.
Some SLS-free toothpastes have little or no Xylitol. Such toothpastes can only remove plaque while you brush. But they do nothing to inhibit the growth of plaque and plaque acids between brushings, the way Xylitol does.
