- 1. PILLOW LOFT – Loft is the thickness of a pillow. Pillows have either a low loft (less than 3 inches thick), a medium loft (3 to 5 inches thick), or a high loft (more than 5 inches thick). The advantage of the Centerpiece pillow is that you can customize it's loft. Unzip the cover and inner casing to remove or add foam fill. The pillow comes at its highest, maximum loft. IMPORTANT: We recommend removing up to 50% of the foam for the first night’s sleep and continue to add back as needed.
- 2. FIRMNESS LEVEL – The firmness of a pillow is rated on a scale of soft to firm and indicates how well a pillow maintains its shape when bearing weight. The Centerpiece pregnancy pillow comes at its highest firmness level, and may need to be adjusted depending on your body weight and personal preferences. To do this, unzip the cover and inner case to remove the foam fill. This pillow is designed specifically for side sleepers who require more support and does tend to be more firm than soft.
- 3. PRESSURE RELIEF – Pressure relief is how well a pillow contours to the shape of your head, neck, shoulders and body. Firmer pillows generally offer less pressure relief whereas softer pillows add more. Our shredded memory foam fill provides a good balance between firm support and pressure relief.
- 4. MOLDABILITY – If you change positions frequently during the night, it’s important to find a pillow that’s moldable. This means you can easily manipulate the pillow’s shape to suit your needs. Our shredded foam fill provides a medium balance between firm support and moldability.
- 5. TEMPERATURE REGULATION – Temperature regulation refers to how well a pillow disperses your body heat and stays cool as you sleep. This factor may be particularly important to those who sleep hot or live in a warm climate. Because shredded memory foam tends to be denser, it can retain some heat and therefore may not be ideal for very hot sleepers. The bamboo cover is made of 70% bamboo and 30% cotton making it a light, breathable fabric that does help greatly with temperature regulation.

- 7. SHAPE - The Centerpiece pregnancy pillow is a U-shape body pillow that supports all sides of the body. This style pillow is superior to other shapes as it gives back, belly, hip and leg support no matter which position you switch to throughout the night. The dimensions of the pillow are 50” x 30” which is likely to be more optimal for women up to 5’ 8” in height. If taller, you may not experience the full benefits of the pillow unless the head piece is detached.
